Tidal Wave 4 (TW4), is the forth worked isolation from the famed TidalwaveOG strain. The TW4 Isolation was released in 2020 by Magic Myco and has massive and potent fruit bodies. The original Tidalwave strain took the mycology world by storm, it was created from the 2017 PE/ B+ fusion project by Magic Myco, a Canadian mycology group.

In 2019, the City Council of Oakland, California decriminalized psychedelic mushrooms and other psychoactive plants and fungi. Because Oakland is one of the few cities in the US that decriminalized hallucinogenic mushrooms, it seemed like an appropriate location for hosting the first Psilocybin Cup. Organized by Oakland Hyphae, a consulting firm and incubation laboratory in Oakland California, dozens of magic mushroom cultivators submitted their mushrooms to Hyphae Labs, for a kind of side-by-side comparison.

Hyphae Labs scientists tested samples sent from more than 50 growers to determine how much psilocybin and psilocin, two of the active compounds found in mushrooms, were in each mushroom. The Magic Myco team won the first-ever Psilocybin Cup with the Tidalwave strain in Oakland.

TidalWave gets its name from the way that it looks. The caps are typically wavy all around. On top of that, this strain also grows wide and large, with dense stems. Another interesting quirk of TidalWave mushrooms is that they sometimes grow a little ball of on top of their caps.

Microdose: 100mg

Mild Experience: 0.5 Grams to 1 Gram

Medium Experience 1.5 Grams to 2 Grams

Remember that this list is just a reference, and you’ll need to experiment to find the right dose for you. With TW4 mushrooms, you’ll want to start low and go slow. That means you should take less than what you think you need. We recommend beginners try 0.5 for the first time. For experienced users we think that around 1.5 grams should be a good start.
